The San Francisco Fleet is coordinating our second mission to Mexico aboard the sailing schooner Seaward. The object is to deliver aid, in cooperation with the La Paz Balandras Rotary Club, to remote villages boardering the Sea of Cortez. This will be both an opportunity to support this project through Rotary as well as for members of the fleet to participate; combining the fun of fellowship with the humanitarian goals of Rotary.
IYFR and the fleet are the coordinators for this event; we need individual Rotarians, working through their clubs to sponsor it.
Full details will be announced soon when they are confirmed, but these dates are set so start planning now to join us for a Rotary sailing adventure in Mexico!
The 2011 convention and cruise are special for our fleet. Our member and past fleet commodore, Clint Collier will be inducted as the 36th International Commodore! We need to show our support for Clint at this momentous time. This is the first time an International Commodore has come from our area.
We, of course, encourage you to attend the convention but that is not a requirement to join us for this IYFR event. Details and registration forms for all of these events will published on our Fellowship's
International web page.
